Editorial Reviews
With 1973's 'Mystery to Me' album, Bob Welch's pop influence was in full gear with him contributing half of the albums songs including the huge FM radio hits "Hypnotized" & "Keep on Going". Christine McVie's "Just Crazy Love", "Believe Me", "The Way I feel" & "Why" round out the album along with a cover of the Yardbird's hit "For Your Love" penned by pre-10CC member Graham Gouldman.

There is not one track that I don't love hearing but there are 4 or 5 that are just fabulous. Crazy Love, Hypnotized, Emerald Eyes are songs I never tire of. I saw elsewhere someone wasn't to thrilled with Welch's guitar work. Seriously? I get goose bumps to this day listening to his rifts on Miles Away.
And with all of this great R&R the last 2 cuts, especially the end cut, Why, are so poignant, I can sit mesmerized, listening.
If you've never heard this record or haven't listened in a while, get ready for a treat because it'll rock your socks.
I try and buy CD's for all the songs, but this is one CD where two or three songs to include "Emerald Eyes" and "The City" are worth the price of admission and a 5 star review.
But the the second best song is "Why", sang by Christi McVie. If your a fan of Christi's voice like me, this CD is a must. Bob Welch and Christi wrote most of the songs, but that's Bob Weston's guitar you hear throughout the CD.
Without Christi's and Bob Welch's contributions between 1972 and 1974, Fleetwood Mac would have surrendered into oblivion faster than the French Army.
