Product description
Joplin's greatest hits.
Amazon.com
More than Cheap Thrills or even Pearl, Greatest Hits has helped keep Janis Joplin's short-lived recording career alive for listeners who came along after her 1970 death. "Me and Bobby McGee" is the biggest draw, of course--it was a posthumous No. 1 single--but the rest is equally exciting. Despite the familiarity of the titles here, this goes far beyond the merely serviceable. Finally, the cover photo of Janis smiling in a sunny park is as poignant a shot of her as exists. --Rickey Wright

Perfectly sounding music from those who created and sang the songs isn’t what those songs are all about and how everyone that lived in (or my case) slightly after those years.
It’s the extremely tiny imperfections you hear on a record is how I prefer to hear music from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s.
And before you ask, no I don’t like 8 track tapes (look the term up in your history books). Records are where 60-80’s music is where music is at!
