I listen alone, with nobody else...and that's all good. Different strokes for different folks huh?
Sound quality is good, shipping time was reasonable. Music is pure down and dirty, nitty, gritty hard driving, hard drinking George Thorogood. All of his best and worst which are so bad they
are really good.
Saw this greatest hits on Amazon and just had to push PLAY. It's a love/hate thing with this guy. Some folks try to understand his music, and they hate it. There is nothing to understand in my opinion. You either like ole Delaware George or you don't. Don't figure he cares one way or the other. My kids leave the room when I pull this one out.
Loaded with all the good stuff and plenty of commotion from the crowds on occasion.
Not a daily driver type CD for me. I get in the mood for his particular talk/sing/talk rock n roll and enjoy the heck out of all of it. Would love to meet the guy if he's still around, which I do believe he is. (Didn't know Stevie Ray was dead until recently-I don't keep up with 'em, I just listen and enjoy them)
If you like George Thorogood and the Destroyers, you'll appreciate this collection.
Look...what have you EVER heard of from Delaware? Nothing I am aware of except Mr. Thorogood. That's something in and of itself.
If I am missing something great about Delaware please enlighten me, I'm serious. It's a state like the rest of them, just itty, bitty.
One might think they are all dead beats who stand on street corners, drink alone and don't pay their rent. Then they go to the bar and order 1 bourbon, 1 scotch and 1 beer. My apology to anyone I may have offended. Thorogood doesn't really bring out the nice in people and I have a weird sense of humor. I mean no harm, just talking about this kind of fun CD. If I lost it I would not cry, just sing his stuff to myself sometimes and belt out the "I drink alone...Welllllll with nobody else, you know when I drink alone, I prefer to be by myself... (I love that being senseless, yet making sense.)
Buy the CD, it good, pure, dirty, ugly, nonsense and a lot of fun once in a while.
This one rocks

I was considering getting one of his live performances on vinyl, particularly the Boston one which is currently on pre-order at Amazon as I write this, but I sampled it recently and was not impressed with over all sound.
If you are a casual Thorogood fan like me and don't already own all his LPs, this compilation is perfect.
