Pet-O-Rama: Week of November 10th, 2025

ADOPTED!!! - Bailey!!! / No Pet Left Behind Special

Bailey, is a cute tri-colored chihuahua/terrier mix who can be a bit opinionated... A few of her opinions include: 1. that young kids shouldn't really be trusted, 2. that picking her up and holding her is a privilege, not a right, and that other dogs should also respect her boundaries! Pleasant and pretty sociable with adults and older kids, Bailey's favorite activities are going for hikes and then cuddling up with people she's come to trust. She likes stuffed toys, tennis balls and peanut butter snacks, she knows "sit," and loves riding in the car. 

 

Bailey's ideal adopter would speak up, or act, on her behalf, and manage her environment a bit so she can relax and gain confidence. If there are resident dogs in the home, we'll need to do a controlled introduction to see if they "speak the same language" and find out if they show her the proper respect! Someone who likes going to dog parks and high traffic dog areas may not be the right fit, but if you're looking for a slightly spicy sidekick, come and meet Bailey! 

Adoption Specials: Bailey's adoption fee is sponsored by the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation and their "Leave No One Behind fund" – which focuses on pets who've been in the Shelter's care a little longer than average.
