Pet-O-Rama: December 11th, 2025Fenrir, Frankie and Nagini PLUS Adoption Specials and Upcoming Events
Posted: Thursday, December 11, 2025
Have a look at Fenrir, Frankie and Nagigni, this week's PETS-of-the-Week at the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter. They came into the Shelter after their previous guardian had a baby who was allergic to the cats. Although all three cats lived together, they are not required to be adopted together in their next home. Their previous guardian reports that they lived with a newborn, 3 year old and 5 year old child and did well with them. Fenrir is a bit younger and the most outgoing of the trio. Frankie was described as the most reserved, but still very sweet, of the trio. Nagini loves to get pets and to rub against your legs, and would love nothing more than a loving new home where she had a bit more space to stretch her legs. The Shelter's veterinary team has done examinations on all three cats and have observed that Fenrir and Nagini do have some moderate dental calculus and are overweight and Frankie has moderate dental calculus and gingivitis. With these conditions and being an older cat, they would thrive with adopters who will establish a relationship with a veterinarian shortly after adoption and be willing to take them in for more frequent health checks to keep them staying comfortable as they age. Fenrir and Nagini's adoption fee is reduced by $40 - $20 for the Bogey Fund - a fund that was created by our own Laurie Roberts! - and helps draws adopter's eyes towards often overlooked black cats in the Shelter and $20 for Shelley's Angels - a fund that draws encourages adoptions of senior cats in the Shelter looking for a retirement home.
