If you're looking for a kitten with a big heart and an adventurous spirit, Braveheart could be the perfect match.

And as they say "two kittens are better than one." One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they've got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they're actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. We suggest adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier.

Statewide event at hundreds of shelters, with fee-waived adoptions! The Areperia food truck will be on hand for those waiting in line, and all adoptions will be FREE that day, thanks to the national ASPCA, the San Francisco ASPCA, and CalAnimals - a statewide animal shelter advocacy organization.

Santa Cruz Pride Parade
Staff and volunteers will walk shelter dogs in the parade in downtown Santa Cruz to show solidarity for inclusion, equity, and the beauty of diversity.

Registration is now open through our website www.scanimalshelter.org , and prices are EXTRA low this time, to reach lower-income pet owners: $15 for cats, $129 for dogs.
